Brief for the Health Club of Taiwan:
Health Club of Taiwan (HCT) is an association of individuals and companies who are interested in health management and health improvement. The goal is to facilitate interactions among the consumers, members, health industry and the sources of health knowledge (experts, research institutes, organizations etc.); to fortify the cooperation among the members and relevant stakeholders (including international ones), to enforce the education of health and health management to consumers, as well as the two transformations of sustainability and digitalization. Members include the medical care industry, functional/nutritional foods industry, skin care products industry, health promotion equipment industry, pet supplies/foods industry, scientific TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) industry, long-term care/ rehabilitation, mental health, health check, athleisure, as well as alternative therapy.
The 5 basic missions of HCT are:
- To facilitate the interactions between the consumers and the sources of health knowledge.
- To enforce the education of health and health management to consumers.
- To fortify the cooperation among the members and with the whole health industries (including international relevant stakeholders/companies/associations.
- To facilitate the commercialization of health-related products/services, as well as the internationalization of related companies.
- To facilitate the activities of technology/business/communication/regulatory among the relevant stakeholders.
The functions for the members and relevant stakeholders include:
- Health Management Specialist Training Program
- Communications with consumers with scientific data
- Joint-Marketing for companies with membership
- Regulation compliance review (experts for TFDA, CFDA, USFDA & EU authorities on functional foods, cosmetics and medical devices)
- Technology Trade (experts for technology agent, international technology trade platform and regulation compliance specialist)
- Business Model Recommendation (Health care platform model, Local drugstore distribution model, Medical device internationalization model, Nutrition management model, Sports management value-added model, Healthy life supporting model, Innovative model)
